(1) General Terms of Trade

“The company” shall mean Blueprint Orthotics Ltd

(2) Introduction

These terms of use govern your use of our website; by using our website, you agree to these terms of use in full. If you disagree with these terms of use or any part of these terms of use, you must not use our website.

(3) Licence to use website

Unless otherwise stated, we or our licensors own the intellectual property rights:

You must not:
(a) republish material from this website (including republication on another website);
(b) reproduce, duplicate, copy or otherwise exploit material on our website for a commercial purpose;
(c) edit or otherwise modify any material on the website; or
(d) redistribute material from this website [except for content specifically and expressly made available for redistribution such as our newsletter.

(4) Acceptable use

You must not use our website in any way that causes, or may cause, damage to the website or impairment of the availability or accessibility of the website; or in any way which is unlawful, illegal, fraudulent or harmful, or in connection with any unlawful, illegal, fraudulent or harmful purpose or activity.

You must not use our website to copy, store, host, transmit, send, use, publish or distribute any material which consists of (or is linked to) any spyware, computer virus, Trojan horse, worm, keystroke logger, rootkit or other malicious computer software.

You must not conduct any systematic or automated data collection activities (including, without limitation, scraping, data mining, data extraction and data harvesting) on or in relation to our website without our express written consent.

You must not use our website to transmit or send unsolicited commercial communications.

You must not use our website for any purposes related to marketing without our express written consent.

(5) Restricted access

Access to certain areas of our website is restricted. We reserve the right to restrict access to other areas of our website, or indeed our whole website, at our discretion.

If we provide you with a user ID and password to enable you to access restricted areas of our website or other content or services, you must ensure that the password is kept confidential.

You must notify us in writing immediately if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account or password.

You are responsible for any activity on our website arising out of any failure to keep your password confidential and may be held liable for any losses arising out of such a failure.

You must not use any other person’s user ID and password to access our website, unless you have that person’s express permission to do so.

We may disable your user ID and password at any time in our sole discretion with or without notice or explanation.

(6) Account Settlements

Payment due 30 days from date of invoice. Failure to do so can result in your account being put on hold, transferred to a proforma account and no further orders being processed until payment is received. The company reserve the right to levy a surcharge. Products remain the property of the company until full settlement has been made.

(7) Credit Accounts

All new accounts are put on a proforma account as standard. All accounts are regularly reviewed before being transferred onto a 30 day credit account.

The company reserve the right to cancel your credit account at anytime without prior notice.

(8) Carriage Charges

The company uses a nationwide courier service called, DHL Courier Logistics – http://www.dhl.com Our standard turnaround time is 5-7 working days and dispatched on a next day delivery. You will receive text confirmation of an estimated delivery window direct from the courier. It is your responsibly to accept or rearrange the delivery.

(9) Turnaround Times

Our turnaround times begin once we receive all information needed for the order. This includes casts, prescription and templates if required. The cut off time for orders being processed the same day is 1pm. Any orders received after this time will be processed on the next working day, this being the first day within our 5-7 working day turnaround time. The day orders are shipped is the last day within our turnaround times.

The company shall inform you should turnaround times need extending due to factors out of our control.

(10) Trades Description Act

The company reserves the right to alter, amend or improve specification on all items without prior notice. For example, if a material is not in stock. 

(11) Conditions of Sale

Our recommendations and suggestions of these products are based upon tests and information believed to be reliable. If any goods supplied by us prove, on examination, to be defective or faulty in material or workmanship, we undertake at our option to repair, replace the item or refund to the purchaser the price of the goods. We shall not, under any circumstances whatsoever, be liable for damages whether consequential or otherwise however caused, be occasional. However, the purchasers statutory rights remain unaffected by these conditions. The purchaser shall determine the suitability of the products for his or her intended use and under no circumstances will our liability exceed the limitations set out in the proceeding paragraphs.

THE COMPANY SPECIFIC TERMS OF TRADE

(12) Discounts

Any repeat orders for additional pairs of orthoses on the original cast, ordered within twelve months of initial shipment, will have a 15% courtesy discount.

(13) Patient Casts

Original casts are stored on our premises in our purpose built factory for 14 months (from date of receipt)

(14) Guarantee

Subject to the conditions detailed below, the company guarantees the specification and accuracy of its orthotic devices, and guarantees that they will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of six months from date of despatch from the company.

The following conditions apply:

  • The company shall not be liable in respect of any defect in the orthotic devices arising from any error in the specification or prescription initially supplied by the Healthcare Professional.
  • The company shall not be under any liability in respect of any defect in the device arising from fair wear and tear, wilful damage, negligence, failure to follow the company’s instructions (whether verbal or in writing), misuse or alteration, or repair of the devices by the Healthcare Professional or patient without the prior approval of the company.
  • Any suggestion, recommendation or advice made by a representative of the company to a Healthcare Professional in respect of the devices does not convey any expressed or implied acceptance of responsibility of therapeutic results or tolerance of the devices, both of which are exclusively in the domain and under the control of the prescribing Healthcare Professional
  • Any defective or damaged devices must be returned to the company before replacement can be made. No cash refunds are made in respect of credit.
  • Orthotic devices can be returned to the company within the six month guarantee, for one readjustment only.
  • Returned items postage is non-refundable

PRODUCT GUARANTEES

Covers, additions and posts are not guaranteed as individual body chemistry, weight and activity levels will cause wear at varying rates.

We may ask that our product is returned so we can investigate prior to issuing credit.

Any third party product refurbishment or adjustments are not guaranteed. We always recommend sending products to the original lab.

8 week Free Adjustment Service

We can change/adjust any orders within 8 weeks from dispatch. This includes all additions, extensions, covers and limited shell modifications and postings.

6 Month Shell Warranty

Minor Adjustments to your original prescription will be made at no charge within 6 months from date of shipping. This is for the shell only.
